I love to show you the way: out of your comfort zone, on to the stage.

I’ve always been drawn to the stage, but my relationship with it has always been a paradox.

On the one hand, it was the place I loved most, where I felt most alive. On the other hand, it was the place that frightened me the most. And that’s the contradiction: sometimes, the thing we fear the most is also that thing that makes us feel most alive.

That’s why stepping out of your comfort zone can be so powerful! The skill of public speaking can be a way to more confidence, self expression and opening doors, are you ready to start this journey?

Nice to meet you!

I graduated cum laude from the Academy of Theatre and Education in the Netherlands in 2017. Since then, I have worked with an extraordinarily wide range of people: from healthcare professionals and scientists to corporate teams and journalists in exile.

What has stayed constant, working across so many different sectors, is my starting point: curiosity. Who are you, what do you want to say, and how can I help you say it with confidence, without losing what makes you you?

My theatre background is the foundation of how I coach. Having stood on many stages myself, I understand both the nerves and the joy that come with speaking in front of an audience. That lived experience shapes every session I run.

Working across such diverse sectors has also given me a strong sense of context: different environments call for different communication styles. The goal is always the same: creating a genuine connection with your audience.

Alongside my 1:1 and in-company work, I co-founded Female Speaking Berlin together with coach Dyane Neiman — a platform dedicated to helping women find and amplify their voice in professional spaces.

I'm based in Berlin and work with clients across Europe.

They say ‘the people you choose to surround yourself with, reflect who you are or become’.

I believe it is important to share certain values & work with a coach that you feel safe with and who lifts you up!

I would describe my style of coaching as energizing, playful, honest, fun, active, creative and professional. I start by creating a safe space and professional connection to work from. So that from there, we can start moving out of your comfort zone and towards your potential as a speaker.

At ‘The Art of Public Speaking’, I like to work from a set of values that are important to me.

Take your time to read through them and feel free to reach out to me if you have any questions!

  • Authenticity - There is not 1 perfect speaker. You are unique and so if the ‘public speaking’ version of you. You are becoming this, not by changing who you are, but by highlighting, extending and improving your qualities as a speaker.

  • Honesty - I’d like to work with honest and open communication. Where openness and honesty are always contributing to our shared goal: making you a better speaker.

  • Inclusivity - I want to work inclusive, please feel free to share how I can adjust my language and training practice so that you feel included.

  • I do not tolerate any form of racism and/or sexism in my trainings.

  • Please feel free to share your values with me. Whatever is important to you from your personal and/or cultural perspective, that I can take into account and respect.

  • "Working in this pitch training was a transformative experience for me. Esthers guidance on body language helped me convey confidence and engage my audience effectively. Her insights and coaching style were incredibly valuable, and I feel there’s so much more I could learn from her!"

Gasimova Narmin, PhD student at Politecnico Milano

  • "This workshop was amazing! You conducted this workshop with such passion and a beautiful vibe. Went home with a big smile & had loads of fun while learning new things!"

    Eka Neumann, Globalcontact consulting

  • "What an engaging and fun way to overcome the fear of public speaking and showing up with confidence. Esther created a safe space for us to practice and grow. I can really recommend this as a team activity and I loved to see all the progress we made!"
